About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Food Runner to help keep service organized, efficient, and running smoothly. This position works closely with both the culinary and front-of-house teams to ensure every dish is complete, properly presented, and delivered to the correct guest in a timely manner.
In addition to running food, this role will be responsible for preparing garnishes, assisting with the cold station, and occasionally supporting the dessert station. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food to guests promptly and accurately
- Confirm dishes are complete and properly presented before leaving the kitchen
- Communicate clearly with servers, cooks, and management throughout service
- Prepare, organize, and restock garnishes
- Assist with preparation and organization of the cold station
- Occasionally assist with preparation and plating at the dessert station
- Maintain clean and organized food-running and service areas
- Follow proper food-safety and sanitation procedures
- Complete assigned opening, closing, and side-work duties
- Assist the culinary and front-of-house teams as needed
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food-service experience is preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Organized and attentive to detail
- Reliable, professional, and able to remain composed during high-volume service
- Able to stand for extended periods and safely carry multiple plates
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Compensation
- $13.98 per hour, plus tip
