Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Meck Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, focusing on their overall development. This role is essential in providing quality education and care in a private school setting, ensuring that children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote literacy education, physical education, and child welfare.
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Educate children using a variety of teaching methods tailored to individual learning styles.
- Monitor and assess children's progress through standardized testing and informal assessments.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children's development and address any concerns.
- Provide care in accordance with daycare and childcare standards, ensuring the well-being of each child.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere for all students, including those requiring special education support.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with staff members.
Qualifications
- A minimum of an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field with a 2.7 GPA and willing to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Birth-through-Kindergarten Licensure.
- Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting.
- Knowledge of literacy education techniques and child welfare practices.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to organize activities, develop and implement age appropriate lesson plans.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early childhood education is a plus.
- A compassionate approach to teaching that prioritizes the emotional and social development of children.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required.
