American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Telemetry position at a heart-focused hospital unit in Tampa, FL, with weekend requirements and experience in cardiac and med/surg patient populations.

13-week contract with a 36-hour workweek

Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)

Telemetry unit within a cardiac-focused hospital setting

Patient population includes heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, COPD exacerbation, GI bleed/abdominal pain, syncope, altered mental status, UTI, ESRD/dialysis, and shortness of breath

Weekends are required; no on-call responsibilities

Floating to other med/surg areas is possible

Active FL RN license or a compact RN license valid in Florida required

Current BLS certification required

Prior telemetry nursing experience required

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius rule applies

Former permanent employees of this facility must have been separated for at least 90 days before returning as a travel nurse

Two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are required, or an approved declination must be on file (booster not required)
