Position Summary
A well-established Oklahoma City law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Collections Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join its growing team. This position will support attorneys in the firm's commercial collections and creditors' rights practice area by preparing legal documents, managing case files, and ensuring matters progress efficiently while meeting court deadlines.
The firm offers a collaborative team environment with approximately seven Legal Assistants and Paralegals supporting a team of attorneys. Each Legal Assistant or Paralegal typically supports approximately 1-1.5 attorneys.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
- Experience supporting commercial collections, creditors' rights, or civil litigation preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of legal document preparation and court filing procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Job Duties

Prepare Reg F notices, pleadings, and other legal documents for filing with the court.

Draft judgment motions, journal entries, orders for delivery, writs of execution, and post-judgment collection documents.

Maintain and organize case files while ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.

Track deadlines and court dates to ensure timely filings and compliance with procedural requirements.

Coordinate with attorneys to prepare cases throughout the litigation and collection process.

File documents electronically with the appropriate courts.
*
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and third parties as needed.
*
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive legal and financial information.
*
Assist with additional legal and administrative duties as assigned.
