We are looking for staff who can work 32 hours a week
Sunny’s Luxury Pet Suites is seeking reliable, hardworking, and dog-loving individuals to join our team. This part-time position plays a key role in delivering a safe, clean, and elevated experience for both our guests and their owners. All applicants must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation.
This role combines hands-on animal care, facility upkeep, and customer interaction. Team members are expected to maintain a clean, calm, and well-supervised environment while providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Dog Care & Supervision
- Actively supervise dogs in group play settings (similar to a “lifeguard” role)
- Monitor behavior to ensure safe, positive interactions
- Redirect or separate dogs when necessary
- Ensure all dogs are comfortable, safe, and well cared for
Cleaning & Facility Maintenance
- Perform routine and deep cleaning of suites, play areas, and common spaces
- Sanitize floors, kennels, and equipment throughout the day
- Maintain a clean, odor-free, and organized environment
Customer Service
- Greet clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Communicate clearly with pet owners during drop-off and pick-up
- Answer phone calls and respond to basic questions about services
Front Desk & Systems
- Check dogs in and out using company software
- Manage reservations, notes, and customer information
- Handle basic transactions and scheduling
General Pet Care
- Feed dogs according to instructions
- Administer basic care (medications if trained)
- Monitor for signs of stress, illness, or injury and report concerns
Experience:
- Previous experience working with dogs in a veterinary clinic, kennel, pet grooming salon, or animal shelter is required
- Dog behavioral training knowledge is required
- Must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness
- Ability to stay alert and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, professional, and team-oriented
- Basic phone and computer skills
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
