Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression that reflects our commitment to hospitality excellence
- Manage restaurant reservations
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service transitions
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and menu inquiries while practicing excellent phone etiquette
- Maintain organized guest lists and reservation logs to support efficient restaurant operations
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
- Uphold food safety standards and cleanliness protocols in all guest-facing areas to ensure a safe dining environment
Skills
- Proven experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting, with strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle phone communication confidently and professionally
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor that enhances guest experiences
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
- Basic math skills for handling seating calculations, waitlist management, and POS transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure guest safety and satisfaction
- Experience with restaurant table management systems and POS platforms like Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
- Hospitality or hotel experience is a plus, showcasing your ability to deliver exceptional guest services in fast-paced environments
