Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery of food and drinks
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Clear tables, bus tables (bussing), and assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas in compliance with health regulations
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations and order management
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions
- Experience in food industry settings such as restaurants, fine dining establishments, or nightclubs
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales opportunities
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience preferred; familiarity with bussing and guest relations is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and bill splitting accurately
