Summary: The Quality Specialist is responsible for performing inspections, verifying product quality, and supporting manufacturing operations to ensure SlipNOT products consistently meet customer, regulatory, and company quality standards. This role conducts incoming, in-process, and final inspections, maintains quality documentation, supports ISO 9001 requirements, investigates quality issues, and works collaboratively with production to reduce defects and improve processes.
This position spends the majority of its time on the manufacturing floor working directly with production, shipping, and engineering to ensure products meet specifications before shipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Product Quality & Inspection
- Perform incoming, first article, in-process, and final inspections.
- Verify products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and company standards.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, profilometers, gauges, and tape measures.
- Document inspection findings and maintain accurate quality records.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Issue and manage Nonconformance Reports (NCRs).
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
- Maintain product traceability and quality documentation.
- Participate in internal audits and process verification activities.
Manufacturing Support
- Partner with production teams to resolve quality issues quickly.
- Recommend process improvements that reduce defects and improve efficiency.
- Support implementation of standardized work instructions and quality procedures.
- Assist with training employees on quality standards and inspection techniques.
Shipping & Customer Quality
- Perform outbound dock audits before shipment.
- Verify packaging, labeling, dimensions, quantities, and customer-specific requirements.
- Support investigations related to customer complaints and returned materials.
- Help ensure products leave the facility meeting SLIPNOT's quality standards.

Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of manufacturing quality experience
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
