About the Role:
Our Lead Teachers are the heart of our program, bringing creativity, structure, and warmth to every learning experience. At Inspired Play Learning Center, you’ll guide children through a thoughtfully balanced day of child-led exploration and purposeful activities rooted in science, math, and the arts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging, play-based lesson plans
- Foster a nurturing and organized classroom environment that promotes independence and creativity
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress
- Communicate effectively with families to build trust and partnership
- Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to maintain a smooth daily routine
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and licensing standards
Qualifications:
- CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Experience working with young children in a licensed setting
- Experience as a Paraprofessional
- Knowledge of child development and play-based learning
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities:
- Co-develop engaging, inquiry-based lesson plans aligned with early learning standards
- Promote language, math, science, and creative expression through hands-on exploration
- Support children’s problem-solving, collaboration, and emotional self-regulation
- Observe and document growth to inform planning and parent communication
- Maintain a peaceful, organized classroom with clearly defined learning areas
- Partner with families to support each child’s development
- Uphold all licensing, health, and safety requirements
Physical Requirements:
This is an active teaching role that requires full engagement with young children throughout the day, including:
- Sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, and frequent movement
- Lifting and assisting children (up to 40 lbs)
- Engaging in active play, including outdoor activities
- Supporting children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, and meals
- Maintaining awareness and quick responsiveness in a dynamic classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in ECE or closely related field preferred
- Experience in a preschool setting required
- Experience as a paraprofessional
- Knowledge of play-based curriculum and school readiness standards
- Excellent team collaboration and time-management skills
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain
- Meets all state childcare licensing requirements
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
