Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift
Pay: $22.75 - $26.75 per hour
Pacon Manufacturing, a 75-year-old family-owned company, is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. Pacon is a custom manufacturer of disinfectant wipes, pads, towels, and drapes for the consumer, industrial, and medical industries.
This is a hands-on role responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and plant machinery to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations. We are looking for a dependable maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, reducing downtime, and helping keep production running smoothly in a clean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and plant machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment breakdowns in a timely manner
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues to reduce downtime and keep production running
- Complete maintenance work orders accurately and on time
- Assist with equipment setup, adjustments, installations, repairs, and changeovers
- Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical components such as motors, bearings, belts, chains, conveyors, pumps, and gearboxes
- Assist with identifying basic electrical and equipment control issues
- Work safely and follow company safety, quality, and maintenance procedures
- Communicate equipment issues and repair status with supervisors and team members
- Support the maintenance department with mechanical repairs and plant equipment needs
- Complete all appropriate documentation as required by CMMS system and management software
- Learn both theory of operation & operational best practices for all equipment.
- Excel in a HPWS (High Performance Work System)
Qualifications
- 1+ years of industrial maintenance or mechanical repair experience
- Technical courses or training in industrial maintenance or industrial mechanics preferred
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Basic electrical troubleshooting preferred
- PLC familiarity preferred
- Experience with pneumatics preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and manuals
- High School Diploma or GED required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- 2nd shift
- Weekends: Saturdays generally required
