Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their experience and promote beverage sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to elevate the guest experience while staying within established menu guidelines.
- Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders as needed, and minimizing waste through efficient stock control.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods, including banquet or catering events when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender
- Familiarity with POS systems such for processing transactions efficiently.
- Knowledge of beverage recipe development, mixology techniques, wine varieties, craft beers, spirits, and food pairing principles.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours without compromising quality or service speed.
- Food safety certification and understanding of proper food handling procedures are required.
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
