Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, including proper food handling and storage
- Assist with prep work such as chopping, portioning, and marinating ingredients
- Work efficiently during high-volume service periods, including weekends, holidays, and special events
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control
- Comply with all casino policies, Tribal laws, and regulatory requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned by Kitchen Supervisor or Executive Chef
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and safety procedures
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred (casino or high-volume restaurant experience a plus)
- Culinary training or certification is a plus but not required
Licenses, Certifications, and Requirements
- Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain within required timeframe
- Must meet Tribal Casino employment eligibility requirements
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by Tribal Gaming Authority

Working in a fast-paced casino restaurant environment, the Line Cook ensures timely service, consistency, and exceptional guest satisfaction while supporting Tribal values and hospitality standards.
