Job Description:
As a Wrecker Driver, you will be responsible for providing prompt, professional, and safe towing services for vehicles in need of assistance. Your primary duties will include responding to emergency calls, towing vehicles to designated locations, and ensuring all vehicles are transported securely and in compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency towing requests and non-emergency service calls.
- Safely load, tow, and transport vehicles of various sizes (passenger cars, trucks, and heavy-duty vehicles) to designated locations.
- Ensure the proper handling and security of vehicles while towing.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting customers with vehicle-related issues and answering questions.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety guidelines, and company policies during towing operations.
- Complete required paperwork, including tow logs and reports.
- Assist with light maintenance of towing vehicles and equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or Class A/B Driver’s License.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Experience with heavy-duty tow trucks, wreckers, or similar equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Availability for on-call shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in towing, roadside assistance, or a related field is a plus.
