WHO ARE WE?
TJK Entertainment is a family entertainment and events venue located in beautiful Fort Dodge, Iowa. Opened in 2013, we have expanded into offering go-karts, wedding receptions, birthday parties, arcade games, Godfather’s Pizza, concerts, laser tag, bumper cars, mini-golf, and more. We are open year round with both indoor and outdoor attractions. We believe in providing safe and positive experiences for all of our guests.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We believe in creating a positive and memorable experience for all of our guests. This position is expected to act as the liaison between the guests and staff. This position is responsible for the smooth daily, regular operation of the arcade and attractions. This position leads and guides guest services staff and attractions staff by providing feedback as it relates to goals, processes, and other initiatives. This position is best filled by somebody who has leadership experience, has worked with children and is a strong advocate for positive and memorable customer experiences, and has a strong sense of community, especially Fort Dodge.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Report to work on time as scheduled, well groomed, and in full uniform.
- The ability to work independently and without direction or supervision.
- Responsible for maintaining positive shift morale among team members and ensuring that all positions are covered.
- Interact with all guests and co-workers with enthusiasm and friendliness, especially children.
- Maintain full knowledge of park attractions & programs, and any other pertinent items to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Open and close the facility, unlock doors, open and close registers, and any other daily tasks.
- Resolve customer issues with kindness and respect.
- Provide performance and behavior feedback.
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings with the entire shift team addressing specials, promotions, ongoing events, and any daily action items.
- Fill out incident reports when incidents arise.
- Conduct daily facility walkthroughs.
- Ensure that all staff on shift are providing a positive and memorable experience for our guests.
- Ensure proper schedule coverage by ensuring key positions are filled.
- Setting daily actionable goals with the team to drive sales and engagement.
- While performing duties employees may be exposed to water, chemicals, food, paper debris, loud noise, music, horns, bells, whistles, and other noise projected by various amusements.
- Employees may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have three years of leadership experience, preferably in attractions management.
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
- Must have adequate vision to be able to see up close and from a distance.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays as deemed necessary by the business.
- Must be able to independently lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for long periods of time, in some cases up to 8 to 10 hours at a time.
- Must be able to demonstrate competency and the ability to learn as outlined in the training materials.
- Must have excellent people skills
- Must be a team player, demonstrate the ability to work hard, remain focused and do the job with the highest level of integrity.
- Must possess proficient technology skills to operate a business specific point of sale machine, a scheduling app, and various computers and electronics.
- Position reports directly to the Assistant Manager.
- Position has no direct reports.
COMPENSATION AND HOURS EXPECTATIONS
- Introductory pay is $14/hour
- Employee Discount is 20% on food, attraction passes, and birthday parties.
- Free mini pizza during shift
- Hours Expected: 20-30 weekly
- Availability needed: All.
