Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Massage Therapist to join our team on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for patient care and a strong background in various massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and prenatal massage. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient well-being through professional massage therapy in a supportive environment.
Duties
- Provide professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, and prenatal massage.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Educate patients on pain management strategies and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness.
- Maintain detailed documentation of treatments and patient progress in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that adheres to sanitation protocols and occupational health guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment goals and address any questions or concerns professionally.
- Stay current with industry best practices by participating in continuing education related to physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and new massage techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist with expertise in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, and prenatal massage.
- Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage.
- Prior experience working in med spa settings or healthcare environments is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse patient populations.
- Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications in occupational health or specialized massage techniques are a plus.
- Experience with pain management therapies and patient assessment processes will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
