The Megaformer Studio is on the lookout for an Assistant Studio Manager who is passionate about nurturing their team's growth and development, and who loves spreading the word about the Megaformer Studio brand and workout.
This is a hands-on leadership role that blends people leadership, operational execution, hospitality, and sales in a fast-paced boutique fitness environment.
Essential responsibilities
A. Growth: conversion, win-back, and retention (the number that matters most)
- Turn intro clients into members. This is your primary metric and it is yours.
- Win back lapsed clients through consistent, personal outreach. Bring drifted members back onto the schedule.
- Run the follow-up: every first-timer gets a personal touch before they leave and after.
- Coach the Front Desk on relationship building, service recovery, and asking for the sale.
- Hit or beat the studio's monthly conversion, win-back, and retention targets.
B. Leadership and team development
- Support the Area Manager with hiring, onboarding, and training Front Desk team members.
- Provide consistent coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback through regular observations and check-ins.
- Reinforce company policies, SOPs, hospitality standards, and operational expectations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Assist with performance documentation and coaching conversations when appropriate.
- Set the standard on the floor. Your energy sets the room.
C. Operations management
- Ensure the studio operates to company standards every day.
- Conduct routine operational audits for cleanliness, organization, safety, and brand presentation.
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
- Monitor facility and equipment maintenance needs and coordinate repairs with vendors and leadership.
- Keep every Megaformer clean, safe, and fully operational.
- Escalate operational risks early, with recommended solutions.
D. Scheduling and staffing
- Partner with the Area Manager to manage Front Desk staffing and coverage.
- Review schedules to ensure the right coverage based on class volume and business needs.
- Monitor shift swaps, time-off requests, and attendance.
- Coordinate last-minute coverage when it comes up.
- Monitor the class schedule in MarianaTek and communicate the operational impact of any changes.
E. Client experience and hospitality
- Champion hospitality and make sure every client interaction reflects our values.
- Resolve escalated client concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Monitor member feedback and put action plans in place to improve the experience.
- Maintain a welcoming, polished, high-energy studio environment.
F. Community partnerships and marketing
- Drive local outreach that fills the top of the funnel and feeds your conversion number.
- Build relationships with local businesses, residential communities, schools, and healthcare providers.
- Run studio events, activations, partnerships, and referral initiatives.
- Track outreach efforts and share partnership opportunities with the Area Manager.
- Represent the brand professionally in the community.
G. Inventory and studio readiness
- Manage inventory and ordering. Keep levels right while minimizing waste.
- Verify the studio is stocked, clean, organized, and operational each day.
- Maintain retail displays, merchandising, and back-of-house organization.
- Ensure supplies, equipment, and amenities consistently meet brand standards.
H. Additional responsibilities
- Support the rollout of new initiatives, SOPs, and promotions.
- Maintain accurate operational documentation and follow-up.
- Complete other duties as needed to support the studio.

What We Need From You
- At least two years of leadership or management experience in hospitality, retail, fitness, or another service-based industry
- Supervisory experience involving employee coaching and development preferred
- A sales-minded closer who is comfortable asking for the sale and consistently following up
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- A polished, professional, and service-oriented approach
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Clear, confident communication with team members, clients, and senior leadership
- Proficiency with scheduling and point-of-sale software; Mariana Tek experience is a plus
- Proficiency with Google Workspace
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
Nice to Have
- Experience with Lagree, Pilates, or boutique fitness
- A personal interest in fitness and enthusiasm for the workout
Physical requirements
Standing and walking for extended periods (6 to 8 hours), bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, climbing step stools or ladders, and lifting or carrying items up to 50 pounds. The role requires frequent movement throughout the studio while maintaining a professional, guest-focused presence.
Schedule & Compensation
- Competitive hourly pay, commission, and performance-based bonuses
- $22–$24.04 per hour, depending on experience
- Strong sales performance can result in meaningful additional monthly earnings
- Flexible availability required, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
