Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive HVAC Service Manager to lead our service operations and ensure the delivery of exceptional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions. This leadership role requires a comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical systems repair. The ideal candidate will oversee field service teams, coordinate maintenance and installation projects, and uphold the highest standards of customer service. Duties
- Manage and supervise field service technicians to ensure timely and efficient HVAC system repairs, installations, and maintenance.
- Oversee the troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and related mechanical equipment using schematics, electrical diagnostics, and specialized hand tools.
- Coordinate HVAC system installation projects from planning through completion, ensuring adherence to safety standards and technical specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems, including air conditioning units, building automation systems, electrical systems, and plumbing infrastructure.
- Diagnose complex issues involving electrical systems, ammonia refrigeration, or equipment troubleshooting to develop effective repair strategies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of service activities, including work orders, schematics updates, and maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations for refrigerants and other environmental standards.
- Foster excellent customer relationships through professional communication, timely responses to inquiries, and quality service delivery.
- Lead safety initiatives by enforcing proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols during all field operations.
- Collaborate with property managers and clients to develop preventative maintenance plans that optimize system performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a strong background in HVAC service technician roles.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC design principles, system repair techniques, and installation procedures.
- Hands-on experience with schematics interpretation, electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, welding, and appliance repair.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and mechanical systems repair.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment for electrical testing.
- Strong understanding of building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, boilers, and mechanical systems maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license (including <PERSON> driver if applicable) with a clean driving record.
- Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are required; additional licenses in HVAC/R or plumbing are preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills combined with customer service expertise to manage teams effectively while maintaining client satisfaction.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately and apply mechanical knowledge practically in the field.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
