Location: We are seeking a Beverage Supervisor for the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Denver located at 1355 Curtis St. Denver, CO 80204.
Venue Description: The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is Denver's #1 Theater/Event Venue. We serve large parties and receptions to large festivals and Conventions, Our customers and clientele change on a daily basis which provides a diverse and ever changing environment which include Broadway, the Colorado Ballet, and the Colorado Symphony.
Principal Function:
The Hospitality Supervisor - (Beverage) will play a key support role within the Beverage Department, assisting to ensure product availability, quality, cost effectiveness, compliance, control, and service for all beverages served throughout the unit.
They assist with daily operations of the beverage department by supervising employee activities, as assigned, within bars, lounges, stands and other outlets where beverages are served. They will help to ensure that standards and policies for responsible alcoholic beverage service are enforced.
They may assist with ordering, inventory controls and cash management within each beverage location. They will support customer service satisfaction by monitoring departmental policies and procedures and assisting with training of beverage service personnel.
Essential Responsibilities
- Maximize Sodexo Live’s revenue and operational excellence through implementation and oversight of systems and policies related to the Beverage department.
- Contributes to the efficient operation of business; Ensures all aspects of beverage operations and events are completed in an efficient and effective manner.
- Contribute to goal of making Sodexo Live #1 in Event Hospitality and the #1 Employer of Choice through personal commitment and leading by example.
Qualifications/Skills
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year related experience required: Catering and/or Banquet bar operations, Restaurant Management or Institutional Food Service.
- Prior supervisory experience in food service.
- Must possess strong general knowledge of food and beverage operations procedures, controls, and administration as well as awareness and ability to perform all catering-related positions.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Keen ability to promote and participate in a team environment.
- Successful candidate must be willing to work a variety of shifts and be available as business demands require

- POS Experience
You MUST have Scheduling flexibility - Hours will be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
Other requirements include but are not limited to:
- Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management; Ability to promote and participate in team environment concepts
- Self-starter who can work independently and on several tasks/projects simultaneously, and who can contribute to functional areas of the business outside of the finance area.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Initiative in identifying and resolving problems timely and effectively.
Subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.
