Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and guiding them through the seating process
- Manage restaurant reservation systems efficiently, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, to optimize table assignments and wait times
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely seating and guest flow, maintaining organizational excellence
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, practicing excellent phone etiquette and clear communication skills
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, waitlists, and guest preferences using restaurant table management systems
- Assist in handling guest inquiries or concerns promptly, fostering positive guest relations and guest services
- Support food safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols during guest interactions and table setups
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred; strong customer service skills are essential
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements effectively
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, guest counts, and time management
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality principles to enhance guest experiences
- Ability to handle phone communication confidently while maintaining proper phone etiquette
