As the first point of contact for our customers, the Service Advisor plays a critical role in creating an outstanding customer experience while helping drivers understand and maintain their vehicles. This position requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, sales ability, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally.
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Build repair estimates and present recommended services clearly and confidently.
- Educate customers on maintenance schedules, repairs, and vehicle health.
- Communicate repair timelines and provide regular status updates.
- Coordinate workflow between customers and technicians.
- Follow up with customers regarding completed repairs and recommended future maintenance.
- Answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments.
- Maintain accurate customer records and vehicle service history.
- Meet and exceed sales goals while maintaining honesty and integrity.
- Help create a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward satisfactory resolutions.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and professional front office area.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive service advisor experience, automotive sales experience, or related automotive industry experience.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with customers.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
- Proven sales and customer relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume automotive repair environment.
