Job Summary:
Brighthouse Solutions is seeking an experienced and motivated **Residential Crew Lead** to oversee holiday light installation and removal projects for residential properties. The Crew Lead will manage a small team of installers, ensure high-quality installations, and provide outstanding customer service. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for creating holiday cheer through stunning light displays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate a crew of 2-4 installers, ensuring efficient and safe completion of all assigned projects.
- Project Execution:** Oversee the installation, maintenance, and removal of holiday lighting displays, including string lights, wreaths, garlands, and other decorations, per client specifications.
- Customer Interaction:** Communicate professionally with clients to confirm design preferences, provide updates, and address concerns to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Quality Control:** Inspect installations to ensure they meet Brighthouse Solutions’ standards for aesthetics, safety, and durability.
- Safety Compliance:** Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, including proper use of ladders, electrical equipment, and personal protective gear.
- Inventory Management:** Track and manage tools, equipment, and materials for each job, reporting any shortages or damages to the Operations Manager.
- Scheduling:** Coordinate with the Operations Manager to plan daily routes and schedules, ensuring timely completion of all projects.
- Problem Solving:** Troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges, such as electrical issues, structural concerns, or inclement weather.
- Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of job progress, crew hours, and client feedback.
Qualifications:
- Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of experience in holiday light installation, exterior decorating, or a related field (e.g., landscaping, construction, or electrical work). Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and safe installation practices for outdoor lighting.
- Ability to read and interpret design plans and client specifications.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Physical Requirements:** Ability to lift to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Licenses/Certifications:** Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Electrical or contractor certification is a plus but not required.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the peak season (October – January).
