Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their overall experience and promote repeat business.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Process cash transactions accurately using the Toast POS system, handling cash and credit payments efficiently.
- Verify guest age/ID and monitor responsible alcohol service.
- Develop and suggest beverage recipes or modifications to meet guest preferences while adhering to established standards.
- Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste through proper storage practices.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours and support catering or special events.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, and beverage presentation.
- Proficiency with Toast POS system for processing transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods while maintaining quality service.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and handle inquiries professionally.
- Previous experience in fine dining establishments or food service environments is highly desirable.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional appearance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to develop new beverage recipes creatively while maintaining consistency and quality standards.
