We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Mill Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components in accordance with engineering specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in manufacturing environments to contribute to high-quality production processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and the use of precision measuring instruments, ensuring that all machined parts meet strict quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including CNC lathe and CNC milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and precision.
- Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and interpret CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drawings to produce accurate parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to ensure proper machining.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, tool changes, and adjustments to maintain efficiency.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Handle materials safely within the manufacturing facility, including materials handling and fabrication processes.
- Operate auxiliary equipment such as press brake machines, stamping presses, or flexo presses as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, tooling setups, and fabrication projects.
Skills
- Extensive experience with CNC programming, including familiarity with Fanuc controls.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings; knowledge of GD&T principles.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, tooling, and fabrication techniques.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Experience operating CNC lathes, milling machines, press brake machines, stamping presses, and flexo presses.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks for design interpretation.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous.
- Ability to operate hand tools and forklift equipment safely within a manufacturing environment.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing standards including quality control procedures.
- Factory or warehouse experience emphasizing safety protocols and materials handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently on an assembly line while maintaining high standards of precision.
