We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team to provide care the children of our families in the NIH community.
Job Description:
- Responsible for overall management and supervision of children and implementing a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional, and physical development of each child.
- Maintains a safe, clean, and organized classroom
- Planning and implementing the daily program of activities based on principles of child development and in accordance with the program’s curriculum
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
- Conditions for Employment:
- This position is subject to satisfactory clearance of all background checks The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Office of Childcare (OCC).
- Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year teaching experience.
- Must demonstrate experience and interest in working with young children, parents, and volunteers
- Must demonstrate success in working as a member of a team
- Must be willing to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the program
- Must meet the Maryland State Department of Education-Office of Childcare (MSDE-OCC) qualifications.
- CDA Preschool Certificate OR
- 45-hour Growth & Development w/ 45-hour Inf/Tod Methods and Materials OR
- AA or BA in Early Childhood Education
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA 3 Hour Training)
- Basic Health & Safety Training
- 9 Hour Communication Training
- additional trainings a plus:
- First Aid/CPR
- Medication Administration
- Emergency Preparedness
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
