Job Summary
EBS Development Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations for residential land development projects throughout the Treasure Valley. This individual will be responsible for leading field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in residential land development and underground utility construction, including pressure irrigation (PI), potable water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage field personnel, communicate with project stakeholders, resolve issues in real time, and drive projects from groundbreaking through completion.
Duties
- Lead and oversee daily field operations on active residential land development projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, utility providers, inspectors, and internal project teams.
- Supervise the installation of pressure irrigation (PI), potable water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, grading, roadway, and site improvement work.
- Review civil plans, specifications, utility profiles, and construction documents to ensure work is performed in accordance with project requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and execute project schedules while proactively identifying and mitigating potential delays.
- Monitor workmanship and enforce quality standards to ensure compliance with engineering plans, municipal requirements, and company expectations.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, punch list activities, and project closeout.
- Track daily production, labor productivity, equipment utilization, and project progress.
- Identify and resolve field conflicts involving utilities, engineering, subcontractors, and municipalities.
- Promote and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies while conducting routine safety meetings and site inspections.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, field changes, and progress updates.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to support scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and overall project execution.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Field Superintendent, General Foreman, or equivalent leadership role in residential land development.
- Demonstrated experience managing the installation of pressure irrigation (PI), potable water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems.
- Strong understanding of grading, roadway construction, curb and gutter, sidewalks, and subdivision infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering plans, utility profiles, specifications, and construction documents.
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and maintaining project schedules on active developments.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety practices, and municipal inspection requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in the field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software; experience with JobTread, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
