Executive Director - American Subcontractors Association of Oklahoma (ASAOK)

The American Subcontractors Association of Oklahoma (ASAOK) is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Executive Director to lead our organization and champion the interests of our members.
Reporting directly to the Executive Committee/Board of Directors, you will be responsible for directing all activities of ASAOK, driving our mission to promote, advance, educate, and train the construction industry within the Oklahoma City & Tulsa Metro areas.
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with ASAOK members, related associations, and key stakeholders.
- Administer the Association's operations, providing leadership and direction to staff, including all HR functions.
- Develop and manage the annual budget in partnership with the President-elect, ensuring fiscal responsibility and operational efficiency.
- Oversee all fiduciary responsibilities, including contract management (with Presidential approval).
- Proactively advise the Board on potential challenges and opportunities, recommending effective courses of action.
- Develop and implement the Association's business plan to drive growth and member value.
- Serve as a key point of contact and build relationships with related associations, potential members, state/local agencies, legislative groups, and the public.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years of progressive managerial experience.
- A strong background in administration, budgeting and finance, membership recruitment and retention, meeting planning, legislative affairs, and lobbying. Association management experience is highly desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of bylaws, relevant policies, and procedures.
- Familiarity with association and products.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent decision-making and judgment skills.
- A collaborative spirit with the ability to foster teamwork.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the capacity to direct, develop, and coordinate activities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy.
- Proficiency in utilizing current technology resources.
- Willingness to travel as needed.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
