Position Summary
STS Security, Inc. is currently hiring Overnight Security Officers for hotel and parking garage locations throughout the Chicago area. Officers will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, visitors, employees, and property while providing exceptional customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct routine foot patrols throughout hotel and parking garage facilities.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and policy violations.
- Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports.
- Assist guests, visitors, and staff with directions and general inquiries.
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations.
- Enforce property rules, regulations, and security procedures.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and access control systems when applicable.
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity.
Qualifications
- Active Illinois PERC Card (Required)
- 20-Hour Security Training Certificate (Required)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Previous security, hotel, or customer service experience preferred
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to patrol multiple floors and parking areas
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
