Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Hostess Cashier to join our dynamic team! Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements to optimize table utilization using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Handle restaurant reservations accurately, confirming bookings via phone or online platforms, and updating schedules as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area, ensuring all reservation and seating information is up-to-date.
- Process guest payments efficiently using POS systems, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments, while ensuring accuracy with basic math skills.
- Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries.
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
- Support food safety standards by following proper procedures when handling cash and interacting with food service staff to ensure smooth operations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage reservations, seating plans, and cash register operations seamlessly.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Micros POS and Aloha POS for efficient checkout processes.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure guest well-being and satisfaction.
