A Turret Driver, handles, moves and stores various materials (WIP) within the Norm Fasteners warehouse “K’ location. Their main duties include weighing material, using RF scanner to scan product/bins, move inventory from one phase of production to another, loading and unloading of material in warehouse “K” location, follow order demand via pick sheets given by production team to retrieve items from “K” location, recording inventory and making sure product orders properly match scheduled deliveries.
About the Role
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with management, peers, and other employees about the status and inventory levels of the “K” location. Have active listening skills, attention to details, and follow-through. Have a strong customer focus and persistence to track down and retrieve product. Required to identify areas of improvement, while defining problems, and identifying potential options and solutions to meet and exceed performance and customer expectations. Must demonstrate tact, professionalism, teamwork, flexibility, attention to detail, an organized approach to work with a positive attitude.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Pulling and staging stock for production, as required by pick sheets and retrieved from “K” location
· Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of material(s)
· Ensure 5S procedures are being followed.
· Support driving the forklift in other production departments if needed.
· Verifying the labeling every product in “K” location and placing them accordingly to the correct location(s) on shop floor or K location as directed
· Strong organizational skills to establish and respect the right priority of the activity
· Identifying and locating the right products during the retrieval process
· Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory
· Completing technical documentation and other required communication
· Keeping all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular audit of material
· Keeping data on the availability of products in short supply
· Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products
· Strong troubleshooting skills. Organizing material to be staged in the proper location(s)
· Organizing material to be stocked/stored/staged into warehouse area or “K” location
· Weighing bins and print labels for material to be stored in warehouse or “ K” location
· Be able to assist when, where, and for whatever is needed throughout the day
· Licensed to operate forklift
· Ability to work on weekends
· Mode of proper transportation

Qualifications
To succeed as a Turret Driver at Norm Fasteners, you need to have the following:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 1-2 years of experience in a receiving, warehouse, or similar role
· Expert ability to drive a forklift, especially in narrow production area(s)
· Knowledge of SAP preferred
· Being adaptable and self-driven
· Teamworking skills
· Strong ability to troubleshooting issues
· Strong problem-solving attitude
· Ability to use the RF Scanner
· Diligent in scanning and weighing material
· Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
· Excellent attention to detail
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach.
· Ability to read, write and do simple math
· Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas
· Working conditions of a shop environment including regular exposure to noise and oils and vary temperatures.
