Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage patient scheduling using electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software, coordinating appointments efficiently.
- Verify patient insurance information, process claims, and communicate coverage details clearly to patients.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with health regulation policies and HIPAA guidelines.
- Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients via phone and client communication channels to answer inquiries, confirm appointments, and provide follow-up information.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely flow of patient information and adherence to health regulation policies.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for documentation and communication tasks.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently.
- Knowledge of health insurance policies, billing procedures, and medical terminology to support administrative functions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and empathetically.
- Experience in phone communication and client interaction to foster positive relationships with patients.
- Office experience demonstrating organizational skills, typing proficiency, and attention to detail necessary for managing medical administrative support tasks.
