Adams County Ambulance and Emergency Medical Services is accepting applications for EMTs
Description
EMTs provide basic medical care including evaluation, treatment and stabilization to the ill and injured at the scene of a medical emergency or other traumatic event. An EMT has a comprehensive knowledge base and is able to provide the highest standard of patient care in the most appropriate and efficient manner for a broad range of medical and traumatic emergencies.
Applicants must hold an EMT-Basic license from the Illinois Department of Public Health, or be able to obtain a license with a National Registry Certification. All successful applicants must complete all educational requirements of the Quincy Area EMS System within 6 months of acceptance. Additionally, applicants must have a valid driver’s license in their state of residence.
