Expediter / Sandwich Maker — Buffalo Eatz

About the Role Buffalo Eatz is looking for a sharp, fast-moving Expediter/Sandwich Maker to be the last line of quality control before food leaves the kitchen. You’ll wrap sandwiches, call out orders to the Grill Cooks, and make sure every item that goes out matches our standards for portioning, accuracy, and presentation — especially during peak rush hours.
What You’ll Do
- Wrap and finish sandwiches to spec, checking portioning and presentation on every order
- Communicate directly and clearly with Grill Cooks — calling out tickets, catching mistakes, and keeping the line moving
- Read and track tickets quickly to keep up with ticket times during high-volume periods
- Catch and prevent allergy cross-contact — double-check special requests and flag any risk before food goes out
- Stay calm and clear-headed under pressure, especially during peak/busy hours
- Keep quality control consistent even when the kitchen is slammed
What We’re Looking For
- Strong reading and communication skills — you’ll be calling out orders and catching errors in real time
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Detail-oriented, especially around portioning and allergy safety
- Team player who can stay composed and keep quality up during rushes
- Growth mindset — this role has a path toward Shift Lead
