ROLE OVERVIEW
The QA Tester validates enterprise AI platforms and their connected AI agents against acceptance criteria, building and executing test plans that cover functional behavior, governance controls, and edge cases before client sign-off.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and execute test plans for the platform and each AI agent, covering functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Build and maintain a scenario/regression suite validating governance behavior — approval routing, guard-rail enforcement, segregation of duties, and audit-trail completeness.
- Test negative and edge cases specifically: malformed inputs, guard-rail breaches, connector failures, and unauthorized-action attempts.
- Validate that AI agent outputs — forecasts, scores, recommendations — behave correctly across representative and edge-case data, including missing or unreliable inputs.
- Partner with the Business Analyst to translate business rules and acceptance criteria into concrete, testable test cases.
- Coordinate and support client user acceptance testing (UAT), documenting results and tracking defects to resolution.
- Verify that audit records are complete, accurate, and reconstructable end-to-end for every governed action.
- Log, prioritize, and track defects, working with engineering to confirm fixes before re-test.
- Maintain test documentation and traceability from requirements through test coverage.
- Support release/go-live readiness reviews by confirming all acceptance criteria have been met.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years in software QA/testing roles, ideally including AI/ML-enabled or workflow/governance systems.
- Strong test-case design skills, including negative testing and edge-case coverage.
- Experience testing role-based access control, approval workflows, or audit/compliance-driven systems.
- Familiarity with API testing and test automation tooling.
- Comfortable working with synthetic/test data environments and validating outputs against expected business rules.
- Strong written communication skills for clear defect reporting and traceability documentation.
- Experience coordinating UAT with business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience testing AI-governance, control-tower, or human-in-the-loop approval platforms specifically.
- Familiarity with compliance/audit evidence requirements such as SOX ITGC, HIPAA, or NERC-CIP.
- Background testing across multiple interdependent AI agents delivered by a shared team.
- Experience with automated regression suites validating platform behavior over time.

Salary: $85K-$115K
