Position Overview:
FBIRA is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Part-Time Retail Manager/Associate to oversee the daily operations of the FBIRA retail store. The ideal candidate will manage store operations efficiently, ensuring that the store meets its sales goals, minimizes costs, and maintains high standards of customer service. Working closely with the FBIRA Executive Board of Directors (EBOD), the Retail Manager will help drive sales, maintain store operations, and support a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee all store operations and allocate responsibilities to additional staff, if necessary.·
Supervise and guide retail staff to optimize performance and ensure excellent customer service.
· Develop and manage the store’s budget under the guidance of the FBIRA EBOD, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control.
· Monitor inventory levels, ensuring purchases align with budget goals as set by the Treasurer.
· Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
· Inspect and maintain store facilities, resolving any issues that may arise.
· Plan and coordinate in-store promotions, events, or product displays to attract customers.
· Collaborate with the FBIRA EBOD to organize and support key events such as Family Day, Brunch with Santa, Easter Egg Hunt, Dress Down, and other employee benefit activities.
· Stay informed on market trends to identify opportunities for store improvement and growth.
· Analyze sales and revenue reports to project sales forecasts and develop action plans.
· Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in coordination with the Collateral Duty Environmental Safety and Health Official (CDESHO).
· Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming customers, addressing inquiries, and going the extra mile to drive sales.
· Maintain organized and presentable store displays and merchandise.
· Manage inventory checks and ensure accuracy in stock levels and product placement.
· Recommend strategies for improving sales, such as store layout changes, marketing initiatives, and visual merchandising improvements.
· Work closely with the EBOD, adhering to policies and directives outlined in the FBIRA policy manual.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Proven experience in retail management or similar leadership roles, preferably within a recreational or retail environment.
· Strong ability to balance daily receipts and manage store finances.
· Expertise in retail management, best practices and a thorough understanding of sales operations.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
· Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
· Commercial awareness, with the ability to analyze and interpret data for decision-making.
· Proficiency with retail management software, Square Point of Sale (POS) systems, and standard office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
· Ability to manage store operations, supervise staff, and allocate resources effectively.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, particularly in inventory and financial management.
· Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and achieving performance targets.
· Availability to work flexible hours and manage store displays at multiple locations, such as the Biometric Technology Center.
· High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field is a plus, or equivalent professional experience.
· Positive attitude with the ability to promote the store’s offerings enthusiastically and maintain a professional demeanor.
· Must be able to pass a background check.
