Driver Helper
Job Summary
Taylored to Transport LLC is seeking a dependable, hardworking Driver Helper to join our growing delivery team. In this role, you will assist the driver with the safe delivery of large household items, including furniture and appliances, to customers’ homes. This is a physically demanding position that requires excellent teamwork, a positive attitude, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
No commercial driver’s license is required, and a regular driver’s license is not required. Applicants must be able to pass a background check. No felony convictions.
Responsibilities
- Assist the driver with loading and unloading furniture, appliances, and other large merchandise.
- Safely carry and maneuver heavy items into customers’ homes, including up and down stairs when necessary.
- Help protect customers’ homes and delivered merchandise during the delivery and installation process.
- Remove packaging materials and maintain a clean, organized delivery vehicle.
- Use handheld mobile devices to document deliveries and obtain customer signatures.
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Follow all company safety procedures and lifting techniques.
- Assist with warehouse loading and preparation before routes begin.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 150 pounds with team assistance.
- Able to perform repetitive bending, lifting, walking, climbing stairs, and standing throughout the workday.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Previous delivery, moving, warehouse, or furniture handling experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- No felony convictions.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Day shift
- Routes begin in the morning and finish when all scheduled deliveries are completed.
