Part Time Seasonal Head Coach -After School Program
Position Details
- Type: Part-time, seasonal (by sport season or school term)
- Hours: After-school
- Compensation: Seasonal stipends paid at the end of the semester
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Activities: Plan and run engaging, age-appropriate practices, drills, or developmental games.
- Ensure Safety: Monitor students closely to prevent injuries and maintain a secure environment.
- Foster Development: Teach fundamental skills, physical fitness, discipline, and positive sportsmanship.
- Manage Equipment: Set up, pack up, and track gear, balls, and field/court supplies.
- Communicate: Share updates with program coordinators, parents, and school administrators as needed.
- Qualifications/Experience: Prior experience playing, leading, or coaching youth sports/activities.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Background Check: Ability to pass standard fingerprinting and criminal background screenings required for youth-facing roles.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
May lift 5–10 pounds frequently, 10–50 pounds occasionally, and more than 50 pounds infrequently. Must maintain emotional control under stress. Moderate walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting. May work indoors and outdoors in varying climate conditions. Subject to visual acuity, speech/hearing, hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
