The Electrical Technician reports to the Production Manager
Responsibilities include:
- Use of hand tools, air tools, such as drills, grinders, and rivet guns, saws, tape measures.
- Measuring, cutting, bending, threading and installing wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems and other wire raceway systems.
- Splicing and terminating wires at junction points.
- Lift or pull items up to 35-50 pounds.
- Knowledge of basic raw materials, production processes, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
- Identify and measure material.
- Produce quality products, consistently.
- Read blueprints, drawings.
- Read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule, form such safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals.
What we’re looking for:
- Familiarity with construction projects, timelines, and relevant parties and trades.
- Experience with prefabricated construction methods a plus
- Completion of electrical program at a technical or trade school.
- Familiarity with commercial and residential electrical.
- Understanding of National Electric Codes
- Ability to specify wire and breaker sizes based on service amps.
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work.
- Ability to work on “finished” product, and route exposed wiring with attention to cosmetic detail.
- High attention to detail, organization, and ability to keep a clean working area.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints with varying degrees of specificity.
- Communicate with a team and take feedback from co-workers.
- Organized and able to multitask efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
- Ability to stand, crouch, and install equipment below countertop level regularly.
- Positive attitude
Required skills:
- Installation and testing of Single Phase and 3 Phase Electrical Systems
- Experience interpreting blueprints/engineering drawings
- Installation and wiring of load centers, receptacles, breakers
Salary: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour (Commensurate with Experience)
