Role Overview
The IT Operations & ERP Systems Manager oversees the daily performance, reliability, and long‑term development of all technology systems supporting our U.S. manufacturing facilities. This includes full responsibility for the company’s enterprise resource planning system, ensuring data accuracy, system stability, and strong support for production, logistics, and administrative operations. The role drives modernization efforts, ensures uninterrupted system availability, and serves as a key point of contact for both IT and ERP‑related needs across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee servers, networks, data centers, and communication systems across all U.S. sites, ensuring secure and stable operations.
- Manage configuration, maintenance, updates, and user support for the company’s ERP platform; ensure system reliability and alignment with manufacturing workflows.
- Coordinate with global and regional IT teams to implement system improvements, deploy updates, and support end‑user needs across all business functions.
- Manage workstation rollouts, user access, troubleshooting, and reporting needs to maintain efficient plant and office operations.
- Monitor network performance, identify capacity needs, and plan upgrades that support organizational growth and new technologies.
- Manage voice/data networks, mobile devices, and telephony platforms to ensure seamless communication across manufacturing and distribution environments.
- Maintain strong relationships with technology partners, negotiate service agreements, and ensure consistent delivery quality.
- Lead procurement, deployment, and tracking of hardware and software assets for all U.S. locations.
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity standards, ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, ERP enhancements, infrastructure improvements, and new technology initiatives within defined timelines and budgets.
- Provide direction, coaching, and performance oversight to IT staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs through automation, AI‑driven solutions, and strategic vendor selection.
- Maintain accurate records of system configurations, ERP processes, procedures, and infrastructure documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong background in managing servers, networks, data centers, and security frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience supporting, maintaining, or administering ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success leading IT teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven ability to deliver complex IT and ERP initiatives on schedule.
- Able to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders across production and business functions.
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving advanced technical and system‑related issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years in IT management within a manufacturing or multi‑site operational environment.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office, including Macros, VBA, or comparable scripting languages.
- High affinity for manufacturing workflows, production processes, and technology systems that support operations.
