Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery.
- Upsell menu items and drink specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation.
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards.
- Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable to manage seating arrangements and optimize guest flow during busy hours.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; basic math skills are essential for cash handling and billing accuracy.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Experience with food preparation, kitchen operations, or host/hostess roles is advantageous for understanding the full scope of restaurant service.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment that values hospitality and guest relations.
