Description:
ThermAvant is seeking a full-time CNC Machinist to operate Haas vertical machining centers to produce high quality precision parts.
Key Responsibilities

Perform work per ThermAvant’s safety practices and standard operating procedures

Interact with engineers and manufacturing personnel to deliver products that meet design and quality requirements

Inspect work to ensure requirements are met, and complete required paperwork to account for production and quality activity

Trouble-shoot and resolve manufacturing process issues
-
Develop cost saving measures through the continuous improvement process (Kaizen)
-
Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
Requirements:
Job Requirements
-
Able to pass a background check
-
High School diploma or equivalent.
-
Proficiency in MicroSoft Office including Word and Excel.
-
Ability to measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.
-
Basic shop math skills (i.e. convert between different units of measurement).

Knowledge of G-code for proofing programs.

Ability and willingness to learn, adapt quickly, and be cross trained.

Good hands-on aptitude for mechanical systems.
Special Working Conditions/Job Characteristics:

Full-Time 40 hours (Monday thru Friday)

Willing to work overtime as required.

Prior CNC machine or programming experience

Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
