American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac ICU travel position in Rochester, MN, requiring at least 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience and proficiency with advanced hemodynamic monitoring.

Cardiac ICU setting within a large hospital system, specializing in critically ill adult patients with altered cardiac function and hemodynamic instability

Day/night rotating shifts: 0700–1930 and 1900–0730
-
36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
-
Every third weekend required
-
Floating required as needed
-
13-week contract

Epic EMR used; experience required
-
Required procedures and equipment include pulmonary artery catheter, IABP, Impella, advanced hemodynamic monitoring and management, and ventilator management
-
No telework; fully on-site position

Active MN RN license required; no pending license accepted

BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross); must not expire within 3 months of start date

ACLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)

CCRN preferred

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE); if program was not accredited, at least 1 year of RN experience in an applicable care setting within the last 5 years is required

Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac ICU RN experience required

Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience required
-
Minimum 1 year of RN travel nursing experience required, or a minimum of 3 completed travel assignments

Demonstrated experience with pulmonary artery catheters, IABP, Impella, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator management

Date of birth required for consideration

Responsible for coordination of nursing care including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care

Functions within a professional nursing practice model, encompassing planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of care for assigned patients

May serve in a preceptor or informal leadership role and participate in quality improvement efforts
-
Delegates patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, and available resources

COVID vaccination and booster required for eligibility
-
Travelers who have been on assignment at this facility may remain up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
