Keystone Post Acute is a 65-bed skilled nursing facility delivering eceptional care to residents in need of therapy, nursing care, short-term care, and long term care. Keystone Post Acute is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to fill the position of our Part-Time/On call Cook Position. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience in dietary services, food preparation, and culinary operations. This role requires a proactive professional capable of managing meal planning, food handling, and service delivery within a dynamic environment. As a cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality food service that meets safety standards while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Duties
- Assist in menu planning and meal preparation, ensuring variety and nutritional balance tailored to client needs.
- Prepare and serve meals with attention to presentation, quality, and safety standards.
- Maintain proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols.
- Support dietary department activities by assisting with special dietary accommodations and nutritional requirements.
- Contribute to kitchen operations by managing food storage, inventory control, and cleanliness.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional food service experiences in both healthcare or institutional settings.
- Demonstrate proficiency in culinary techniques, including knife skills and cooking methods suitable for fine dining or catering environments.
- Uphold food safety standards consistently during all stages of food preparation and service.
Experience
- Must possess or the ability to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate before taking on the position.
- Prior experience working within dietary departments or food service environments is essential.
- Proven background as a dietary aide or in similar roles involving meal preparation and food handling.
- Experience in menu planning, catering, or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food industry best practices, including kitchen safety and sanitation.
- Familiarity with fine dining or restaurant experience enhances ability to deliver high-quality service.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
