Now Hiring: Taekwondo Instructors (Training Begins Immediately)
We are looking for instructors who have a true passion for making a difference in the life of a child. This is a high-energy, leadership-driven role for individuals who are confident, motivated, and ready to grow into leadership positions.
Requirements:
Certified Black Belt in Taekwondo
Strong knowledge of self-defense skills
Must be 18 years of age or older
Positive attitude is a MUST
High energy and ability to handle multiple classes daily
Comfortable working with and supporting 200+ students
MUST NOT be timid or shy — confidence and strong presence are essential
Schedule:
Weekday evenings: typically between 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
4–5 days per week
Saturday mornings: typically between 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
About the Position: For over 15 years, JK Taekwondo Academy has specialized in youth programs in the Medical Center area of San Antonio. We focus on building confidence, discipline, and life skills — all while having fun.
This position starts as an assistant instructor role, supporting classes from beginner through advanced levels. You will be trained in all curriculum and teaching methods, with the opportunity to grow into leading your own classes.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting lead instructors during classes
Class preparation (including cleaning and maintaining a professional training environment)
Supporting high-energy classes (up to 4 per day)
Student engagement and development
Assisting with class check-in and basic record-keeping
Promoting academy events such as tournaments, camps, and belt testings
Growth Opportunity: Instructors who demonstrate leadership, consistency, and strong teaching ability will have the opportunity to advance into leading classes independently.
Training: Training begins immediately. You will receive hands-on instruction alongside experienced instructors, covering teaching methods, curriculum, and academy systems.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
