About Fast Bid Auctions
Fast Bid Auctions is one of California’s fastest-growing online auction companies, specializing in heavy equipment, skid steer attachments, shipping containers, tools, vehicles, trailers, and commercial equipment. We operate auction yards in Paso Robles, Santa Maria, and Tulare and conduct fast-paced online auctions that serve thousands of buyers across the western United States.
We’re looking for a hands-on Equipment Yard Manager to lead daily operations at our Paso Robles auction yard.
This is NOT a desk job.
This is a working leadership role where you’ll spend most of your day outdoors operating equipment, organizing inventory, unloading shipping containers, photographing auction items, helping customers, and leading a small team. If you’d rather be in the yard than sitting behind a desk, this could be the perfect position.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise daily operations of the auction yard
- Train, motivate, and work alongside a small team
- Operate forklifts to unload shipping containers, stage inventory, and load customer purchases
- Receive, organize, and maintain auction inventory
- Photograph equipment and inventory for online auctions
- Catalog and upload inventory using our auction software
- Keep the yard clean, organized, and operating efficiently
- Coordinate auction setup and customer pickup days
- Communicate with customers, consignors, and vendors professionally
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce company safety standards
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and site operations
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with equipment and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating forklifts
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Experience working around heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or industrial equipment
- Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers, email, Excel, and web-based software
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work throughout the day
- Valid driver’s license
