Role Overview: The Midtown Group is hiring a temporary Test Proctors for the Read & Achieve Project, a study examining the effectiveness of a literacy intervention for Tier 2 students in 6th and 7th grades. You will be responsible for administering 60 minutes of literacy testing per identified student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend live virtual training and pass data collector certification requirements in July 2026.
- Administer the DIBELS 8th Edition, the Gates-MacGinitie Reading Test (GMRT), and an online student survey in schools.
- Securely upload assessment scans and coordinate with the Data Collection Lead.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with all participating classrooms and schools.
Schedule & Commitment:
- Total Hours: Approximately 40-62 hours of work, with the potential for more depending on project needs.
- Timeline: The data collection window is July-September 2026 (approximately 3 weeks total of work).
- Availability: You must be available during the school day (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM) every day during the first 3 weeks of the Marana USD #6 school year.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must pass a background check given by the school district.
- Must provide personal transportation to and from school sites (mileage is reimbursed based on Federal GSA rates).
- Demonstrated experience administering literacy assessments (such as DIBELS or GMRT).
- Familiarity working in middle school settings or with adolescents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and video conferencing software.
- Willingness to comply with all on-site school requirements (e.g., metal detectors, masking)
Pay: $35.00 per hour
