Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hardscape Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming outdoor spaces by installing durable and aesthetically pleasing hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other masonry elements. Your enthusiasm for outdoor work, combined with your hands-on skills and knowledge of construction processes, will contribute to the successful completion of construction projects. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and layout of hardscape installations according to blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently to install concrete, masonry, stone, brickwork, and other building materials.
- Perform site preparation tasks including grading, excavation, and foundation work necessary for hardscape features.
- Install various building materials such as pavers, bricks, stucco, roofing components, doors, windows, and trim carpentry elements with precision.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure work environment while adhering to all OSHA standards and site-specific safety plans.
- Interpret construction plans and schematics to accurately execute installation tasks aligned with project specifications.
Experience
- Prior construction experience with a focus on outdoor projects or remodeling is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with bluebeam software or other construction management tools is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers or excavators is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols rigorously in outdoor or construction site settings.
- Skills in electrical experience or plumbing are beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn is appreciated.
