Community Care Partners is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to an adult participant in Voorhees, NJ 08043.
As a DSP, you will provide hands-on assistance and daily living support while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life. Services are delivered in accordance with the participant's individualized service plan.

Work Location:
One-on-one DSP services are provided in the participant's home and in the community. This position includes accompanying the participant to a local animal shelter to support their weekly volunteer hours. Services may also include support with activities of daily living (ADLs), assisting the participant with maintaining independence, completing daily routines, and participating safely in meaningful community activities.

Essential Duties / Case Specifics:
- Provide support with activities of daily living (ADLs), including assistance with daily routines and personal needs.
- Encourage independence and active participation in daily tasks and community activities.
- Assist the participant in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment.
- Provide hands-on support while promoting dignity, respect, and personal choice.
- Support the participant in developing confidence and greater independence in daily living skills.
- The participant has epilepsy; applicants should be experienced with, or comfortable supporting, an individual with epilepsy and able to respond appropriately in accordance with training and the participant's care plan.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Assisting the participant with daily routines and activities.
- Providing supervision and support based on the participant's individualized needs.
- Encouraging independence and participation in everyday tasks.
- Promoting dignity, respect, inclusion, and positive engagement.
- Maintaining the professional, respectful, and supportive environment expected of a DSP.
- Documenting services and communicating important updates as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be capable of reaching, bending, lifting, and performing light physical tasks as needed.
Experience, License, and Certification Requirements:
- Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, and comprehension).
- Must clear all required State/Federal criminal background checks, the Central Registry, and the CARI database.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Applicants may apply without certification but must obtain it before starting services.
- Experience supporting individuals with epilepsy is preferred, or applicants must be comfortable learning and following seizure support protocols.
