Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, transmission, suspension, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Repair and maintain powertrain components such as engines, transmissions, and diesel engines with precision and attention to detail.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical problems effectively.
- Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and wheel alignments to ensure proper handling and safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools to execute repairs efficiently.
- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems, including sensors, wiring harnesses, and control modules.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicles are returned in optimal condition.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics using modern diagnostic tools and software.
- Solid mechanical knowledge across vehicle systems such as powertrain, transmission, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
- Experience interpreting automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance tasks including alignments, transmission repairs, diesel engine work, and ADAS calibration.
- Familiarity with auto estimating procedures and working on GM vehicles is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools safely and effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
