We are looking for an Experienced Roofer to join our crew. We need someone who knows the trade, takes pride in laying down a quality roof, and doesn't need to be micromanaged. In this role, you will be responsible for tear-offs, repairs, and full installations of various roofing systems on residential and commercial properties. We value craftsmanship, safety, and a solid work ethic. If you are reliable and know your way around a roof, we want you on our team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform complete roof replacements, including tear-offs down to the decking, inspecting for rot, and replacing damaged wood.
- Install various roofing systems with precision, including [Insert your specific types: asphalt shingles, metal roofing, single-ply membranes (TPO/EPDM), etc.].
- Properly install critical components like ice and water shields, underlayment, drip edges, and flashing around chimneys, vents, and valleys.
- Diagnose leaks and perform targeted roof repairs and maintenance.
- Safely set up and utilize ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection harnesses on every job site.
- Operate standard roofing tools (nail guns, circular saws, tin snips, pry bars) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring a daily magnet sweep for nails and proper debris disposal.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: 3+ years of proven, hands-on roofing experience (residential or commercial).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of roofing techniques, materials, and local building codes.
- Safety First: Must strictly follow all OSHA safety protocols, including the consistent use of safety harnesses and tie-offs.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to safely lift, carry, and move heavy materials (up to 75 lbs, like bundles of shingles). Must be comfortable with heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and working on steep pitches.
- Environment: Willingness and physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, wind).
- Reliability: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the shop or job sites.
