Evans Engineering and Consulting is a progressive Electrical Engineering firm located in Post Falls, Idaho. We are currently seeking qualified applicants for a Drafter/Designer position to join our growing team. Applicants must have experience in AutoCAD. Applicants working towards a degree may be considered.
Successful candidates need to have general knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD, the ability to develop details, diagrams and documents. The ideal candidate will be organized, work well under pressure, and have good analytical problem-solving skills.
Wage is dependent on experience, skill set, and how well candidates meet the following general requirements and preferred experience:
Preferred Experience:
- Engineering, Architectural, or similar design experience, including BIM Modeling
- Experience wih basic Electrical design of components and equipment
- Understanding of Elementary Electrical Engineering calculations
- Basic understanding of the construction Industry
Responsibilities:
- Developing electrical construction documents using AutoCAD
- Developing 2D blocks, details, and diagrams in AutoCAD
- Collaborating with designers and engineering staff on multi-discipline projects
- Work within and develop company standards to increase productivity
General Requirements:
- Two-year DRAFTING degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience in AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Attention to detail
